Job Description: Part-Time Clinical Supervisor

Position Title: Part-Time Clinical Supervisor – CNA Program
Reports To: RISE Executive Director
Location: RISE Charter School Health Sciences Classroom, Skills Lab, and Clinical Sites
Schedule: Approximately 3–6 hours per week (varies based on clinical rotation schedule)
Position Summary
The Part-Time Clinical Supervisor supports the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program by supervising high school students during skills labs and clinical experiences. This role ensures student safety, reinforces nursing assistant standards, and supports the lead instructor in delivering high-quality, hands-on healthcare training aligned with state CNA program requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Current CPR certification (required)
- Experience in long-term care, acute care, or clinical healthcare settings preferred
- Knowledge of CNA skills, scope of practice, and state training requirements
- Strong communication, mentorship, and classroom management skills
- Ability to work effectively with high school students in a structured learning environment
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise high school CNA students during clinical rotations and lab-based skill practice
- Support the CNA instructor in ensuring safe, compliant, and developmentally appropriate clinical learning experiences
- Observe and guide students in performing CNA skills in accordance with program and facility standards
- Reinforce proper infection control, patient safety, professionalism, and HIPAA compliance
- Provide immediate feedback and support skill correction under instructor direction
- Help maintain accurate documentation of student participation and clinical performance as needed
- Support the development of student readiness for state CNA certification testing
- Model professional nursing behavior and expectations in all clinical settings
Work Environment
- High school classroom, nursing skills lab, and approved clinical sites (e.g., long-term care facilities)
- Direct interaction with high school students under instructor supervision
- Requires standing, walking, and active supervision during clinical activities
Time Commitment
- Approximately 3–6 hours per week
- Schedule aligned with CNA lab days and clinical rotations
Compensation
Pay will be commensurate with education, licensure, and relevant clinical experience.
