School Board Special Meeting Minutes
In Attendance: Michelle Schutt – Board Chairman (via Zoom), Jonathan Butler – Board Vice Chairman, Lacee Clinger – Board Treasurer, Tyler Rands – Board Member, Heidi Child – RISE Charter School Director, Brook Russell. Not Present: Jeff Burnett – Board Member
At 6:07 Jonathan called the meeting to order.

A math assessment was held on March 18, 2022 for all students grade 6 through 8. Results showed most students were above the national average, except for a few. Heidi explained to the Board the protocols in place for students falling behind: Parents are sent a letter, student is then taken out of an elective class and placed with a Para in their mentor class to work on the subject until caught up/progressing. Also, the new math teacher is working with the SPED teachers to individually work with students falling behind. A letter will be sent home, explaining the same assessments will be taking place with all subjects, along with the math assessment scores and language to better understand the results.
With no further business, Tyler made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Lacee 2nd, meeting was adjourned at 6:54 p.m.
