Jonathan Butler has lived in Kimberly, ID, for the past 15 years and has been a resident of Idaho since he was a teen when his family moved to Twin Falls. He and his wife just celebrated 19 years of marriage, and have five children together—four boys and a girl—all of whom attend Kimberly schools.
Professionally, he has a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and has been a licensed and practicing mental health therapist since 2008. He enjoys being a part of helping others see their own value and work to overcome challenges they face in their lives.
Jonathan did not set out to be on a school board when he began volunteering on a committee with the Kimberly School District that was working out the details of a new elementary school and then determining what to do with extra classroom space that was available in the district. He has now served on the RISE Charter School board for over 3 years.
